Civil Administration demolishes homes of two families in South Hebron Hills, leaving 20 people homeless
23 July 2024
On Tuesday, 23 July 2024, at around 9:30 A.M., Civil Administration personnel arrived with a military and Border Police escort and four excavators at the community of al-Jawaya in the South Hebron Hills and demolished a residential tent that belonged to a family of 10, including seven minors. The family had been forced to live in the tent since the Civil Administration demolished their home on 4 June 2024.
The family was left without shelter for a second time. The forces then continued south to the village of a-Tuwani, where they demolished the home of another family of 10–including five minors–leaving them homeless, too.
